Summary

Seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver IT and operational technology (OT) initiatives across domains such as infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and end-user computing. This role is responsible for managing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects in a dynamic environment and provide regular updates to senior IT leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects across the full lifecycle, from planning and initiation through execution and closure
  • Define project scope, requirements, timelines, budgets, and forecasts in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Develop detailed project plans, identify critical paths, and establish risk mitigation strategies
  • Monitor progress against schedule, scope, and financial baselines, ensuring successful delivery
  • Provide regular updates to leadership, including project status, milestones, risks, and financial performance
  • Manage and resolve project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks
  • Coordinate resource planning and address capacity or workload challenges
  • Ensure adherence to formal change management processes when adjusting scope, schedule, or budget
  • Review and manage vendor contracts, ensuring clarity around deliverables, timelines, and expectations
  • Oversee vendor performance and maintain strong external relationships
  • Maintain and update project schedules using tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project
  • Prepare weekly reporting materials and present updates to leadership stakeholders
  • Support governance processes to ensure transparency and accountability across projects

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience managing technical or IT-focused projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or MS Project
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor management capabilities
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, or data center environments is a plus
